For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand” (Albert Einstein)
Lighthearted artworks of VICTOR NUNES
Victor NUNES, a 64 year former Art Director living in Sao Paulo, Brazil has this special and unique talent to turn little and discarded objects of daily use into charming little characters or scenes, capable of showing emotions and telling stories. With the help of a pen or a pencil, he gives shape and meaning to a salad leave, a pair of scissors, candy wrappers, paper clips, popcorn fluff, elastic bands, bottle tops and much more.
This form of art called “PAREIDOLIA” is a psychic process that transforms casual shapes into reasonable subjects like for instance human faces, animals or figures in various situations. This process lets the unconscious take control and make us see something that wouldn’t be there with a more rational glance.
Victor NUNES has made hundreds of illustrations inviting us to look at the world in a different way, finding beauty and poetry in common objects that surrounds us anywhere. It is a real joy to discover Victor’s vivid imagination playing with elements in unexpected contexts.
Victor NUNES is a celebrity on the internet (see Google Images) with thousand of fans worldwide.
